360Eyes Reset Button: How to Reset a 360Eyes Camera

Find the 360eyes reset button, hold it 5-10 seconds until the camera beeps, then re-pair it in the 360Eyes Pro app. Full reset walkthrough.

Quick answer: to reset a 360Eyes camera, find the small reset button — usually a pinhole near the microSD (TF) card slot, a button on the base, or, on light-bulb cameras, around the collar near the bulb base — and hold it for 5 to 10 seconds while the camera is powered on. Release when the camera beeps, talks, or the status light starts flashing. The camera then reboots into pairing mode and you set it up again in the app.

The rest of this guide covers each step in detail, including what to do when the camera won't reset.

Unofficial guide. 360Eyes cameras are sold in many shapes and hardware revisions, so button placement varies — the locations below cover the most common designs.

Where Is the 360Eyes Camera Reset Button?

Check these spots, in order of how common they are:

Camera styleTypical reset button location
Indoor pan-tilt (dome on a stand)Recessed pinhole next to the microSD/TF card slot, often under a rubber flap or behind the rotating lens ball
Cube / bullet / mini camerasSmall button or pinhole on the base or back panel, sometimes labeled "Reset" or "RST"
Light-bulb camerasAround the collar area near the bulb base (the ring between the screw thread and the camera body); some bulb models reset by power-cycling instead — check the seller's instructions
Cameras with a cable pigtailA button capsule inline on the power/network cable

If the hole is recessed, you'll need a SIM-eject pin, a straightened paper clip, or a toothpick. Be careful not to poke the microphone hole by mistake — the reset pinhole is usually next to the card slot, while the mic hole sits near the lens. Press gently; on most cameras you can feel a faint click when you hit the actual button.

How to Reset a 360Eyes Camera Step by Step

  1. Keep the camera powered on. A reset only works with power connected. Give the camera about a minute after plugging in so it finishes booting.
  2. Locate the reset button using the table above.
  3. Press and hold for 5-10 seconds. Use steady pressure on pinhole buttons.
  4. Wait for the confirmation signal. On most 360Eyes cameras you'll hear a beep or a spoken prompt, and/or the status light changes to fast flashing. That's your cue to release.
  5. Let the camera reboot. It may rotate through a self-check (pan-tilt models) and end up with a blinking status light, which means it's in pairing mode and ready for setup.

If nothing happens after 10 seconds, hold for up to 15 — timing differs slightly between hardware revisions.

What Happens After the Reset

  • The saved WiFi credentials and most settings are erased.
  • On most units the camera is unbound from its previous account, so it can be added to a new one. If yours stays bound, see resetting without the app.
  • Recordings on the TF card are typically not deleted. Format the card from the app later if you want a clean start.
  • The camera will not appear online in the app until you pair it again — the old entry in your Devices list is now dead and can be deleted.

Re-Pairing in the 360Eyes Pro App

  1. Install or open the app: 360Eyes on the App Store (iOS) or 360Eyes Pro on Google Play (Android), and log in.
  2. Connect your phone to a 2.4 GHz WiFi network. 360Eyes cameras do not pair on 5 GHz. If your router broadcasts one combined name, you may need to temporarily separate the bands or stand farther from the router so the phone falls back to 2.4 GHz.
  3. In the Devices list, tap the add device button and follow the on-screen flow. On most models the app generates a QR code that you show to the camera lens; some setups instead have you join the camera's own temporary hotspot — follow whichever prompt your app shows.
  4. Enter your WiFi password carefully (it's case-sensitive) and wait for the camera to announce a successful connection.
  5. The camera appears in your Devices list. Re-apply any settings the reset cleared — alerts, TF card Recording Settings, Status Light, and so on.

Troubleshooting: 360Eyes Camera Won't Reset

  • No beep or light change: confirm the camera actually has power (status light on, or motor noise at boot). Try holding the button up to 15 seconds, and make sure you feel the click — you may be pressing the rim of the hole rather than the button.
  • Wrong hole: if poking near the lens does nothing, you're likely in the microphone opening. Look again next to the TF card slot or on the base.
  • Camera seems frozen: unplug power for 30 seconds, plug back in, wait a full minute, then retry the reset.
  • Resets but pairing fails: this is usually the 5 GHz problem — re-check step 2 above, move the camera within a few meters of the router during setup, and reboot the router if needed.
  • App says the device is bound to another account: the reset didn't clear the binding on your unit. See Reset a 360Eyes camera without the app for the original-binding-account fix.
  • Button feels broken or missing: a few bulb-style models use a power-cycle reset sequence (switching the light off and on several times) instead of a button. If you can't find any button, check the paper manual or ask the seller for the exact sequence for your unit.

Still stuck after several attempts with confirmed power and the correct button? The button or board may be faulty — contact the seller while the camera is under warranty.
