360Eyes Camera Offline? 8 Fixes That Actually Work

Is your 360eyes camera offline? Work through these 8 ordered fixes — power cycle, router check, 2.4GHz WiFi, re-pairing, firmware and app updates.

If your 360Eyes camera shows "Offline" in the Devices list, the fastest fix in most cases is simple: unplug the camera for 30 seconds, plug it back in, and reboot your router. That alone resolves the majority of offline reports. If the camera is still offline after that, work through the eight fixes below in order — they're sorted from most likely to least likely.

An offline status means the camera can no longer reach the vendor's cloud servers. The cause can be on the camera, on your WiFi network, or (rarely) on the server side, which is why the order of these steps matters.

8 fixes for a 360Eyes camera offline error

1. Power cycle the camera

Unplug the camera's power adapter, wait about 30 seconds, and plug it back in. Give it 1–2 minutes to boot and reconnect, then pull down to refresh the Devices list in the app. Also check that the power adapter and cable are seated firmly — a flaky USB cable is a surprisingly common cause of random offline drops. If your camera has a status light, a steady light usually indicates a normal connection (you can check or toggle this under Status Light in device settings on most models).

2. Reboot and check your router

Restart your router and wait for all its lights to settle. Then confirm the internet itself works by loading a website on a phone connected to the same WiFi. If your whole network is down, the camera is offline for the same reason everything else is.

3. Make sure the camera is on 2.4 GHz WiFi

360Eyes cameras connect on 2.4 GHz WiFi only. Problems typically appear after a router change or firmware update that merges the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands into one network name ("band steering"). If your router pushed the camera toward 5 GHz, it will drop offline. In your router's admin page, either split the bands into separate network names or create a dedicated 2.4 GHz network for smart-home devices, then re-pair the camera to it.

4. Did your WiFi password or router change? Reset and re-pair

This is the single most common cause of a permanently offline camera. The camera keeps trying the old credentials and never recovers on its own. Two options:

  • If the camera is still reachable on the old network, use the Change Router option in the device settings to move it to the new WiFi.
  • If it's fully offline, reset the camera and pair it again from scratch — see our reset guide and the WiFi pairing troubleshooting article if setup fails.

5. Check distance and signal strength

A camera at the edge of WiFi range will flap between online and offline. Temporarily move the camera close to the router: if it stays online there, signal strength is your problem. Fixes include relocating the router or camera, removing obstacles (concrete walls and metal appliances are the worst offenders), or adding a WiFi extender — making sure the extender broadcasts a 2.4 GHz network the camera can join.

6. Check for camera firmware updates

On most 360Eyes cameras you can check for firmware updates from the device settings page in the app while the camera is online. If your camera flaps online/offline, grab one of its online windows to apply any pending firmware update — connectivity fixes do ship in firmware. Don't unplug the camera mid-update.

7. Update the app

An outdated app can mis-report device status or fail to talk to current servers. Update to the latest version:

  • iOS: 360Eyes on the App Store
  • Android: 360Eyes Pro on Google Play

After updating, force-close the app, reopen it, and refresh the Devices list.

8. Rule out a server-side outage

If multiple cameras went offline at the same time, or the app itself struggles to log in or shows "connecting to server", the problem may be on the vendor's side rather than yours. See what the "connecting to server" error means for how to tell the difference. Server outages typically resolve within hours; there's nothing to fix locally.

Still offline after all 8 steps?

  • Try a different power adapter (5V USB adapters are interchangeable on most models) to rule out failing power.
  • Test the camera on a phone hotspot set to 2.4 GHz: if it connects there, the issue is your home network configuration, not the camera.
  • Reset and re-pair one more time following the reset guide — a fresh pairing clears corrupted WiFi settings.
  • If the camera won't pair at all anymore, continue with 360Eyes camera not connecting to WiFi.

This is an unofficial guide. Exact menu labels and reset behavior vary between 360Eyes camera models and app versions.
